Gathering Proposal- Soulside Healing Arts Internship Project

Part of my 2022 summer internship with Soulside Healing Arts was tasked with surveying, inquiring and reimagining semi annual teacher gatherings. These events have resonated strongly with teachers, who though working at the same studio, do not typically have much interaction with each other. These gatherings are also a precious moment for deeper connection with the studio’s policy updates, intentions, future planning.

I began this project by creating a survey for instructors, and explaining the nature and intentions of the survey and following events. Through reminder emails and encouraging participation I was able to gather helpful information which I communicated through a business proposal. In addition to sharing the raw data- some edited to maintain anonymity- I created mood boards, and possible new gathering outlines to add inspiration to the concepts revealed by the teachers in the survey and follow up conversations.

Elements of these outlines and suggestions were immediately implemented by Soulside and has influenced all teacher gatherings since.
